"Surprisingly easy to order meals"
I’ll admit, I wasn’t expecting much, but ordering on tovala.com was actually painless. The meals were easy to look through, and checkout went smoothly without any annoying issues. I did have to click around a little to find the delivery details, which could definitely be clearer. But overall, it worked better than I expected and I got my order done quickly.

"Meals felt a little less fresh than I expected"
I tried tovala for a few weeks, my overall impression was that the meals were just okay. Maybe I had my expectations a bit too high, but some of the veggies looked like they had been sitting around longer than they should, and the chicken had an odd texture a couple of times. It wasn’t awful by any means, and I can see how the convenience would be a big plus, but for the price, I personally expected the food to taste fresher and feel a little higher quality.

"Delivery is way too unreliable"
I really wanted to like this, and the idea is great, but the deliveries have been such a headache. I’ve had two boxes show up late, and one was basically missing for a whole day with tracking that barely made sense. When I reached out, I kept getting different answers depending on who I talked to, which just made it more frustrating. It’s hard to plan meals when you don’t even know if your food is actually going to show up.

I had a really frustrating experience with the refund and replacement process. I’ve been waiting, and my refund still hasn’t come through. From my side, it feels like I’m the one stuck dealing with the hassle while nothing gets resolved.

"Customer Service Has Basically Vanished"
I’ve been trying to get help from Tovala for days now, and it feels like shouting into the void. I sent emails, used the support form, did all the things you’re supposed to do, and all I got back was one generic canned response that solved absolutely nothing.
For the price of the oven and the meals, I really expected at least basic customer service. Instead I’m still sitting here waiting for an actual human to respond, and it’s beyond frustrating. At this point, I’m not exactly thrilled about ordering again.

"Box arrived banged up"
My order showed up in a box that was smashed, with the corners crushed and everything shifted around inside. One of the meal trays was leaking, and the ice packs were already halfway melted. I just had a bad feeling about it as soon as I opened the box, and for food delivery, that’s not really something I want to second-guess. The shipping definitely needs to be handled better

Not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed with the build quality. The oven door feels flimsy, and the buttons have already started sticking sometimes, which doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence

"A bit more effort than I expected"
I picked up the Tovala hoping it would make weeknight dinners feel super easy, at least for me, but it didn’t quite land that way. Some of the meals were definitely quick, but a few still had extra steps and more cleanup than I was expecting. I like the idea of the scanner, and it’s great when it works, but I had a couple of times where it didn’t read correctly. The food was fine overall, but in my experience, it just didn’t feel convenient enough to justify the price

"I like the whole idea of Tovala, and..."
I like the whole idea of Tovala, and some of the meals turn out good. That said, the cook times have been a little hit or miss for me, lol. A few things needed extra minutes because the middle still wasn’t quite hot enough.

It’s not a dealbreaker or anything, but it does get annoying when I’m expecting dinner to be ready and then I have to keep checking it. I still use it, I just wish the timing was a bit more consistent.

"Meals just didn’t feel balanced"
I tried it for a few weeks, but most of the meals were salty and didn’t have enough veggies for my taste. They just didn’t feel balanced enough to eat every day. I also felt a bit passed around when I had questions, which didn’t help. Ended up canceling after that.

"Not worth the hassle"
I’ve been disappointed with this oven. It just doesn’t cook food evenly, and a few times things have come out hot on the outside but still cold in the middle. For what an oven is supposed to do, this one really falls short. i don’t think it’s worth the frustration.

"Too expensive and a hassle to deal with"
The meals were okay, nothing terrible, but for the price I expected a lot more. Once shipping and taxes were added, it just didn’t feel worth it at all. I also felt kind of passed around when I tried to sort things out, which made the whole experience more frustrating. I ended up canceling quickly.

I’ve ordered from Tovala a few times now and... the billing has been exactly what I expected each time. No random extra charges or anything confusing showing up. It’s nice because I don’t feel like I have to double-check every little thing before I keep using it...

"Pretty easy app to use"
I’ve been using the Tovala app for a few weeks now. It’s been easy to figure out. Picking meals is simple. Changing delivery days is too.

The scan feature works well most of the time. I like that the cooking settings are already loaded. No guessing. That part is really nice.

I’m giving it 4 stars because it can be a little slow sometimes. I also have to tap twice here and there. It’s not a big problem. Just a bit annoying.
